Stoner forced to miss the weekend's GP. I think it's safe to say that his hope of finishing his career as world champion is now gone. With no Aussies in the field and most races becoming a bit of a procession I'm afraid I've just about lost interest in it now.
At least I still have WSBK, V8SC, and F1 to keep me happy.

His championship hopes are not good, but he only knows how to race one way, and I'm sure he will provide a lot of entertainment for the rest of the year.
I may well have to fork out for foxtel next year though.

Good news is that WSBK is in Moscow so shouldn't clash with MotoGP anyway. Looks like a nice circuit.

Watched superpole after GP qualifying last night Superpole more interesting to watch. The Moscow circuit looks great. Back to GP my moneys on any of the real Riders (lol) tonight Crutchlow or Spies, wishful thinking! Crutchlow if he hold pace for the entire race, Spies if he can somehow keep his bike together.

Spies has had some bad luck this year. Most of his dramas have been down to poor machine preparation. His problems mostly stem from unnoticed component damage caused in the big off he had earlier in the year. If Stoner doesn't achieve his desired outcome this year, at least he can walk away feeling vindicated from all the flack he copped over the years when he was with Ducati. Now that we know Rossi actually approached Yamaha about the possibilities of returning to them, it is plain to see that the reality of riding and developing the Ducati was just too much for him. It must have been the longest 80 seconds of his life

I missed the race. I was just too tired to watch it, but it looks like an interesting result. Pedrosa is starting to build an offence. Stoner's ride was typical, and a great effort considering.

Damn that was a good finish. Don't need Stoner to make it interesting... Haha.
Congrats to Cal for his first podium too, a pretty lonely ride but very tidy all the same.
But poor old Spies. How the hell can someone have such bad luck!? The issue this week was his clutch, it was slipping under power. Lorenzos' bike works just fine, it makes no sense... Good to see the championship is still up in the air all the same, Pedrobot put in a great ride and is really stepping up to the plate as the front-runner of Repsol Honda

I must confess I rolled my eyes when Lorenzo over took Pedrosaon the last lap and thought, here we go. But all credit to him he finally grew some gonads and went for it. A great result not just for the team but for his mental toughness.

Bloody hell. I must have been asleep when I checked crashnet this morning. I could have sworn they said Stoner road as a last minute decision! That's what I get for letting work get in the way of catching up on race results.

Could Lorenzo get it over any further while passing Pedrosa?
