Its the D.O.T mark that shows the lines have been tested as road safe. Over here we cant get a WOF without. WOF is a test we have to have done every 6 months to make sure the bike is safe.

I installed a set of Wesmoto braided lines about 6 months ago, great feel and no evidence of fade like I found on the stock lines. I had to remove the alloy tang at the end of the master cylinder to allow for the lines to point directly down and couldn't fit the stock brackets but they don't seem to foul any steering or suspension movement.
Got a few more mods I want to do such as handle bar angle and possibly change the sprocket sizes (slightly) but basically happy with the bike - having said that I'm itching to update to something a little later with injection... possibly a Sprint ST :-)
Maybe the VTR gets modded for track use... I hear they are great at Phillip Island!

I have just completed my set with a braided clutch line as well. So people say the clutch line in ss is a waste of money but at least it all looks good now
