Thanks for the info.
I had considered only using two injectors. There is no need to have four in terms of fuel delivery, it would only be an advantage if you could gain better atomisation by using smaller injectors.
If a smaller injector atomises better then I would use it. If it then ran out of puff higher in the rev range then the second injector could then cut in. But if there is no advantage is using a smaller injector then there is little point in the exercise.
The SP1 uses 4 injectors so I would be staying with the Honda design, but the VTR will have a lower fuel requirement in comparison.

So have you built your shed yet, or are you going to do the mod in the lounge room?

No shed yet, and no lounge room either!!!! I genuinely am at "no fixed address" at the moment.
Earthworks are under way as we speak, so the new shed won't be far away. The money for the project might be a while coming though, as it has been a bad year for me.

Waiting to hear the outcome of this. I'm wondering why they never released these as EFI motors to begin with?

Shayne still has the 'storm , but his work / life situation has changed a great deal in the last couple of years, so I believe that this mod is on the backburner.

Would love to see some pics of Shaynes Storm as it stands now.
His passion for the Storm and what he did has been a source of inspiration for me as I chase the holey grail of making my Storm the best it can be.
2 years in and I am nowhere compared to Shayne!!!

I have seen pictures of Shaynes bike and I tell you, you will not find a better example of this mighty bike. The attention to detail is second to none and thats what you can see. Its all the little bits you dont see which makes all that much more special...

No progress on the EFI at this point. It has been along time I know, but it was out of my control.
I will get back to it eventually, but things are not what they used to be for me, so when it happens is hard to say.

Shayne,
Great to hear from you.
How is your bike going?
Have you done anymore to it?
Sorry for all the questions but your bike and what you did to it are a major inspiration to me.

G'day Ken.
Next time the bike comes out it will click over 10,000km since it was rebuilt. No more mods, just the occasional wash and polish. I think they when I am finally ready to do the EFI project it will be time to tidy up a few things on it. But not yet, it is still in good condition.
Yes, Frankenstorm, the fairing has been modified to remove all the joins for a smoother appearance.

See guys,
This bike set a benchmark for me.
I have done heaps of stuff to mine and it still don't rate.
I saw Shaynes' bike in Rapid bikes and that's what started me on the Storm Trip.
The whole thing is a totally integrated functional package.
Great to see you still have it.
How did you do the fairing?
Is it easy to remove like that?

Fairing was plastic welded. Not as easy to take off as a stock fairing, so you have to be a lot more careful.

The paint on my bike is pristine.
One of the reasons I bought it.
I would be loath to paint it as it never replicates the factory finish.
I would love the clean look of the one piece but sadly I can't bring myself to touch it.
On a positive note , I went for a ride yesterday with my brother who owns a 98 Suzuki Tl1000S and he couldn't get near me.
Shayne , I have a lot of your mods and it is credence to your work with the Storm.
Now there is a problem.
I rode the Suzuki and whilst I was shocked at the way it handled I couldn't believe the power delivery.
I hope that one day you will have the inclination, funds and time to do the EFI on the Storm!
Stay in touch with us mate as you have an invaluable wealth of knowledge regarding the enigma of a bike called the Firestorm, or as we affectionately refer to it here the "STORM"
