Nice work!
You'll have to come out for a spin with the Canberrans some time.
Cheers, Jackdad

That looks great cheeky. Very original.
It seems we have a mutual acquaintance in a lovely little lady named Toni.
Keep up the good work and I look forward to the rest of your project.

Also been thinking about a label for the exhausts. Partly to cover the Yamaha part number that is stamped into it, but also to add some 'authenticity'. Heat proof decals are about $25 on eBay . . . Would appreciate some feedback on the following mock-ups; They are probably not the right size, but it gives an indication were it would sit.

Rather than pretend the pipes are something they're not why not be original and put something like "cheeky" or "one hot ass end". No idea where you'd get these made but just a thought.

Been playing with design ideas for the decal, whilst I test the material for temperature sensitivity . . . Got this so far; Thoughts?

Update time. Got the stickers today - living in the country means everything takes weeks not hours :-( Pics as follows; Got some big ones done too - just the right size for your car.

As some of you may know, I have just got a new Side Stand Bracket and bolt as the oldies are worn pretty bad. Turns out Shayne is right and the new parts whilst better were still pretty loose. So I made a new side stand - a bit longer than the OEM item too to account for the extra height gained by the 6mm shock spacer. It's probably over engineered, but then it won't break either! Ignore the dirt - needs a wash again.

Yeah, looks pretty good. If you wanted something to chrome or paint up to look flash then this kind of thing would look pretty good. Doesn't look like it will bend either.

Would need to be a bit more particular with the grinding/sanding if it was to be polished or chromed, but I agree. Went with black this time 'cause it was easy and it's gonna get dirty anyway. Is certainly unlikely to bend - 12mm rod x2 - perhaps if there is a next time, I will make it a bit lighter.

As above, both Foz and VTRfigher . . . . If I could ever be bothered to do it again, I will try a Trellis arrangement with 3 rods . . . Sorta like that but different.

So I have actually done something on this project this week. The weekend was taken up with a Workshop/shed rethink and tidy - everything has a place now and it's not on the the floor :-) Anyway, so the swing arm mod is next so I can then do the exhaust myself. Have measured up where I need to chunk to be taken out and by how much . . . The exhaust pipe coming up the middle will be pretty tight . . . but I think it will work okay. There is plenty of thickness in the bit I'm having put back, so if a little 'remodeling' is needed there will still be some wall thickness left. Off to a welding joint tomorrow to see if they will do it before I cut a big hole - could end in tears like the friggin' zorst last time Geeze, i would have just ovaled the pipe out a bit...(is ovaled a word") Love your work cheeky, I want underseat pipes .....

They are top secret - even I'm not sure what they will be exactly. But I have collected a few parts for Stage II.
