All you can do is point them in the right direction and pray they stay on course. I have a girls 22, 15 and 10, and a boy 17 The oldest just joined the Army and I think she's gonna do well. The Boy.... he has his moments but hes a good kid when all is said and done. The youngest two......they are good girls.... so far. I lose sleep thinking about it all sometimes. The joys of parenthood. Sunday Afternoon 1630 2 1/2 hours to go... Night shift Tomorrow. Might make a Maintenance Scedule for the bike and cars. I bet Col has one.

I know what you mean about the trifecta... a mate of mine did a stint ion the Psych ward and was telling me how the place is off the show when the moon is full. In your case so were the punters, but not the roster.....

12 hours to go then 4 days off......no decent rain forecast but all the roads stay damp at the good bits this time of year....roll on Summer. This February I might plan a ride to Queenstown. Feb is the best time to go over there because it always rains on the west coast, something like 300 days of the year. The road over there is legendary.... I have heard stories about it but not been over there yet. there's a section coming out of Queenstown called 99 bends, if thats any indication there's just miles and miles of winding road...check it out on google maps, I spent almost a whole shift checking out the street view...am I obsessed??

the bends are ok but would be unforgiving if you mess up. Mt Arrowsmith is awesome, the run from Queenstown to Strahan, Reece dam road, Lake Plimsoll road, all in that general area are fantastic rides. One really nice stretch down your way is the road from just outside Hamilton which goes through to Bothwell, you can rip through there and there a pub at the end of the road...cant beat that.

Second night ... its 5.00 on Monday morning ... its been a hard night but we are nearly there. Blue has just gone offline to get his shift change sorted out so he can go home ... its amazing the mates that you can find online in a place like this. I must say that facebook chat can make a shift go quickly. If any other of our shiftys are able to do the facebook thing at work and want to then drop me a PM for the addy. Would be happy to pass the time with you overnight.

First of 2 nights, then 4 off, rain forecast for those..... I guess it'll be a good time to fit my rack and start preparing the bike for Phillip Island. its frustrating when you're stuck in an office doing very little when there's stuff to be done Watching Ventura brackets and grab rail on ebay, go off in a minute....... Geeze it went for 102 bucks... add about 20 for postage and its close to the price of a complete unit..... guess i'll just adapt the old gearsack in the shed. Its only for that one week anyway. How many of our blokes were on there I wonder.
