I listen to just about anything that comes out of the ipod , though after I bought some bluetooth intercoms I mostly listen to my wife lol Prefer Nickleback and Rammstein when riding with "the boys"

If i did, i would agree with sharpest1 But the last time i had earphones in while riding, i got distracted & stacked it!! no Earphones, mobile phones, intercom's - Just me, my bike & the open road......that's what riding is all about

I don’t think you are stupid. You just have a bad luck when thinking.

I just use earplugs for short rides, but for touring I like the music.
I listen to old favourites mostly. I have hardly added to the playlist since I first did it a few years ago. I found anything too soft such as acoustic stuff can't be heard easily, and I like old stuff I know very well rather than new stuff.
Aussie Crawl, Cold Chisel, Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, etc etc. Helps eat up the miles when doing big days.

AC/DC Metallica Guns & Roses Rose Tattoo Cruel Sea Paul Kelly Chisel Memories (from cats) Nickel back
But to be honest it's only there to pass the highway miles. If your having a real go you don't hear it.

I have my player on shuffle with 2000 or so tracks of just about every genre. It sometimes surprises me what gets me going. Michael Jackson's probably the most surprising. ACDC of course, Nirvana, some hip hop, I LOVE riding to Glitch hop (funky techno with a break beat) highways Elvis, Sinatra, stuff to sing along to. I like it when the random track just seems to fit the road conditions in perfect symmetry
