Bet that got a few peoples attention. Nope, no ranting here, just an update on my quest for a HR licence. Basicallt still no time has been spent on general driving, juts been working on the Road Ranger gearbox. Reckon if I had been doing a synchro course I would have passed two weeks ago. But I reckon I am getting the hang of it now. I ended up with a different instructor two lessons ago, and he has passon on a tip that made all the difference. In order to compensate for the power of the detent spring he puts sideways pressure on the lever before making any movement, rather than hitting neutral and then trying to move the lever across the gate. Sounds pretty basic, but makes a big difference.

It's amazing what a difference a different approach to doing the same thing can achieve.
After I had my second holiday in hospital with a broken back, actually it was some time after as I had to wear an upper torso body cast for months afterwards. But once I could be mobile without the cast I started physiotherapy. They gave some very simple exercises to do. The trouble is that while they sounded easy, I just couldn't learn how to engage the muscles I needed to. I went through 3 different physio's, 1 from our base at Orchid Hills, and two Penrith ones. It wasn't until my Dr referred me to the Sydney Pain Management Centre that I met a physio that could teach me how to activate the TA muscle effectively.
