My 4wd has been parked in the workshop for some repairs. Looks like a head gasket, or if I am unlucky, a cracked head. When time permits I will get started on fixing it. I nned to finish off some work on the property first. So for transport I needed the VFR insured, which I sorted last week. Since then I have had a few people to go and see, and have used the bike to do it. Only ridden it two times, buy gee it was good to be out on the road again. Seeing where I live is good riding country, I simply went an interesting way to where I had to go. So did some nice roads on the way there and home again. All good. Apart from a "short cut" which turned out to be dirt!! As Fathead says, "Dirt is for potatoes".

4wd Possible cracked head sounds like a 2.8 Patrol lol.
Always good to be on the bike visiting mates etc especially if you have good pipes fitted I'm sure they appreciate the good note out the back.

Yep, the 2.8 doesn't like getting hot that is for sure. I have a TD42 so not such a problem, and it has never overheated, so head should be fine. Hoping it is just the gasket. Most probably got a weeks work to do on other stuff before I can get started on it, but fingers crossed it goes ok.
Getting on the bike instead of in the car is good though, for sure.
