Hey all I come down to bris for my yr check up on my hip & we are staying at my mum n dads in beenleigh n I forgot to lock the car last night & both wallets were stolen Yes all things are cancelled The thing is my parents place has a steep driveway you have to go up to to get to the house & it is exposed & where the car was parked is right beside the house I know I should of locked it but it was raining heavily when we got there & had to make the dash inside & just forgot to lock it It was probably kids as they used my visa debit at M so they would of had to sign for it & whatever happened to checking signatures Police have been notified & hopefully they will get the cctv When I'm finished at hospital I'm goin to have a word with the M manager about checkin signatures Now we have the inconviniance of now proving who we are & I know banks charge for proving your signature & then having to pay for new drivers licences & the other inconvenience of replacing everything else & probably being kids the law wont be able to do much even though they said using my visa is fraud F%*@kin theivin pricks

Damn! that's unlucky. And like you say, if they are kids, it will be less than a slap on the wrist for the theiving gits. community service on weekends and that sort of thing should be considered........or maybe cleaning out prison cells??? that will let them know what they are in for if they carry on We were really lucky on christmas day. Went to a mates for the day and as we pull in the driveway my heart sank........the door was wide open .......told the missus & the kids to stay put & did a lap of the house....all clear with nothing missing. not sure if we left the door open or if there is a problem with the latch, we had only moved in 3 months prior so we are having all the door handles/lock replaced. Could have been alot worse. How much did they put on the card anyway??

A good idea is to take photocopies of all your cards and licence and put them away in a safe place ... at least can sort of prove who you are ... And yes I have been there and done that .. had my wallet stolen about 8 yrs ago

They got $12 then $35 & they didn't have to sign or use a pin due to the new thing banks have got about if the item is under $30 or $40 then there is no pin is required Apparently you can change that so the banks now tell us All good though we will get reimburst However there is a twist an old guy down the road found everything except my debit card & the $50 from my wife purse & before you ask about how he knew where to take them too 1 of my things I have in my wallet is a In Case of Emergency details & my mum n dad as 1 of the contacts if I'm involved in an accident When I say everything licences Medicare cards racq even my anz access card was there The police said we can still go for the fraud thing even when we get back home M said they will definitely watch the cctv to hand it over to the police So let's hope they get them & apparently the fraud thing sticks for a long time
