It looks you might be safe this time Sean. At least for the moment anyway We are safe this time, the river is now only peaking at just under 15m, last week it was just under 16m & we have missed out on the cyclone as well, all blown out, phew. At our place we only had flash flooding (like always) dam overflow Its hard to gauge the water level but the water came up to the bonfire pile just after this pic was taken & if you look at where the fence stops theres a hose & a little concrete slab in front of the tap there it was under water also. I just Found this pic This pic is a little blurry however to the right of the pic you can see the edge of the front awning & now this is a pic of what it looks like when dry See where the fence stops & where the house is Thats how close it comes to the house with flash flooding of our dam & the next doors dam overflow it doesnt last long but this flooding lasted a few hrs as the rain was torrential all day

Our old family home on the Pomona - Kin Kin Rd was like that, water surrounded us when it flooded.
I am too high up now.

I had no dramas as I live on a hill. My son and girlfriend had to evacuate but it was more a precaution in case the levee failed. Poor old North Wagga copped it again .They get flooded all the time but are too stubborn/stupid to move.

How's the spiders Fozzy? I read an article in Australian Geographic about the blooming going on down there as all the spiders move to higher ground.

Yep, it's very weird. I didn't see anything like that and am glad the little buggers didn't come up the hill

Another bloody mess Steve. Hope the cleanup is going ok. At least your pool stayed "above ground".

Hey Snoop, while everyone else is aspiring to a water front property, you have to go and gazump them. I hope it all gets sorted with a minimum of hassles.
