Nice one Steve, I toyed with the idea of a uglabusa but settled on the FZ. Love the color and the comfort two up will be good. No excuses for a trip to the island now! Except maybe tires.

Keep in touch may be able to meet up with you if you are going through Mackay I assume you are going up to Atherton Tablelands which is a hoot Gillies Palmerston etc. BTW if you are considering PC5 and TRE or the like dont waste your money as the Suzuki ECU is able to be reprogrammed for some time now software is free interface cables easily made have a look at boostbysmith.com/

Congrats nice rig mate, how much harder is it to shove through the corners than a storm? Obviously a slight power advantage haha ;D

had the busa for 3 weeks now, havent quite clicked over the first thousand k's yet but had 2 really good group rides on it, one dry one wet. They are a brilliantly versatile unit, the thing just floats along with little sensation of speed until you glance at the speedo, its totally effortless. While obviously not as sporty as the GSX-R it can be hurried through the twisties just fine. This week it has assumed commuting duties and to be honest the "bulk" isnt that noticeable. Its fair to say we are very impressed, in fact Tracey rode it in the dry and it took some convincing for her to hand it back, its just so good. In fact we are talking up trading the gixxer next year on another one...
So if you ever get a chance to ride one go for it, if you are in the market for a big comfortable sports tourer it would IMHO take a lot of beating. It was a good choice as far as we are concerned and to be honest nothing else available at the moment came close.
Once its fully run in and can be "used" even more, I'll be sure to report back.

Steve, I was talking to one of the guys from Honda yesterday. He only started with them last year, so I guess the honda injections are still being administered. Anyway, he bought a busa last year, just before getting his new job. He had a lot of good things to say about them. I'm considering buying another bike around August, and was discussing my options with him. I would really like an ABS Blade, but I doubt I could commute on one, even the VTR is giving my neck a hammering in traffic (I've squashed all the discs in it). Richard highly recommended the busa.

Being one of us on the wrong side of 50 Colin I made the conscious decision that I didnt want another out and out sports bike. Considered a few naked bikes and hypermotard style bikes but too limited. The 'busa simply fits the fill, and as this for us is a 10 year investment, comfort was a priority. As a 30+ year motorcyclist in no hurry to give them up, it just works...its a simple formula I guess, it has speed, handling, comfort, versatility. Its a package that I dont believe will become boring either, great for day rides and we already have some extended trips planned. Tracey can ride it comfortably and confidently meaning when I want to cut loose for a while its bike swap time and the gixxer gets a caning...win win situation.
When we can swing it I'm sure a test ride for your good self wouldnt be out of the question.
