Read this guys description of his bike for sale , quite witty
www.ebay.com.au/itm/kawasaki-gpx-250-next-stop-Isle-Mann-TT-/140803580767?pt=AU_Motorcycles&hash=item20c88c235f#ht_854wt_887
Just noticed its only on for another 4 hours , so just in case its removed here's the transcript at the bottom .
"RELISTING DUE TO NON PAYING TIMEWASTER
up for sale is my 1989 kawasaki gpx 250. just got off my L's so its time to go.
do you want to learn how to ride by scaring the shit out of yourself??? well if your one to go balls first into everything then this is the crotch rocket for you. lets face it, we are motorbike riders, we dont dip our toes in the shallow end to see what the water is like. Nah, we are the ones belly flopping into the deep end.....off the garage roof
engine and gearbox both work well. never given me dramas. she will cruise all day long but if you see that girl you fancy walking up the road giver a rev and you will be buzzing along at redline at 60kph making the said lass all weak at the knees. that ll make your mates jealous.
the rest of the bike has some minor issues.
front tyre "bald" or race spec slick as i like to call it. this alone practically makes it a motoGP bike...kinda.
front forks are weeping (stage 1 weight reduction. i got a C in science so i know that the shit they put in the forks is heavy.).
farings are all "well used" the right hand center faring is now missing (stage 2 weight reduction. when you wanna go fast on a 250 you'll do anything) its also quick access to the rear brake master cylinder and fuses. we all know that having serviceable parts accessible is what makes a racing bike a racing bike. i havnt dropped the bike since owning it but its clear it has been dropped before. presumably Casey Stoner used to own it and was having "front end troubles"
so, do you have dreams of chasing Guy Martin around the Isle of Mann at stupid speeds where one wrong move could be the end. well this ultimate racing machine will scare you within an inch of your life so by the time you make it to the TT you will have balls of steel. the irish road racing lads wont know what hit em.
in all seriousness though. i have been riding this bike for the last year. try to take it out most weekends if the weather was good. it never let me down. the engine and gbox have never missed a beat. though the rest of the bike is in need of some love. id recommend it as either ride away spare parts or somthing to learn on. its run out of rego and i havnt renewed as the weather has been louse. i can re register for the buyer if they wish.
inspections strongly recommended. any questions just ask
cheers"
