Ive had an older Buell for awhile and originally got the VTR to save some k's on it as it was getting a bit long in the tooth , then I got to liking the VTR and decided to just hang on to it and sell the Buell which I did , but Im afraid I have the Buell blood running through my veins ( and Im still the head of a Buell riders club in Brisbane ) and was looking a little out of place on our rides , so Ive sold the VTR and bought another Buell , and yes yes , I know there a little slower the Harley based motor models and far more unreliable than the Honda , but I just loves em , but Id still like to hang around and drop in from time to time as Ive come to like this place , so here Ill be , Griffo the Buell guy , oh and Ive steered the young guy who bought mine here so hopefully we'll here from him .

Nice looking bike! IMHO the yellow really suits it.
Dont worry about the no-VTR thing. I haven't had one for a couple of years now but I still like hanging around.

Ahh mate , I know Lazza well , he was up here last year for our annual Buell muster , we held it out at Goomburra valley , I had an ale or two with him and were on a couple of other Buell forums together

does the huuuge front disc make that much difference? The big disc on the front of the Buell's doesn't stop them any better Pete , I think his idea when designing them was to keep weight down by having a bigger single disc and ditching a disc and caliper on the other side , they seem to work well , but that particular disc is a custom one , more for looks i think than extra performance

It seems politeness has taken over this forum, and it's time for me to correct this state of affairs. Sorry Griffo, but that bike is as ugly as a hatfull of aresholes. And a YELLOW hat at that. I cannot sugarcoat it in any way shape or form. Buells look like shit and always will. Except for one, and ONLY one. There.the balance has now been corrected. This is the ONLY nice Buell in the world. My disclaimer is, 10 schooners at the pub

;sorry Griffo but they are the ugliest bike on the road lol , I guess im just attracted to bikes that aren't mainstream it's funny what people say I feel in love with them when a guy I worked with bought 1 back in 98 & he's still got it. Yes they are old styling now compared to some newer bikes yet there are some butt ugly new bikes out now, there are not many on the market ATM that I would say wow to exception busa, in fact all the gixer range are sexy, zx14 is another yet I don't like the look of the new zx10. In the end yes that's why there is variety

Congrats on the new bike! Can't say it's my cup of tea, but there's only one opinion that counts when it comes to bike ownership. End of the day it's a bike, it makes you happy, nuf said! Enjoy ;D
ps. probably sounds like a truck by the look of the exhaust - nice!

I had the fortunate opportunity to regularly ride a Buell for about six months around two years ago. I was nice, it was different but it needed more dedication than I could give to look past its flaws. It has now gone back to its owner and hopefully being appreciated for what it offers. That big disk works just as good as any twin disk setup and feels no different.
We should always ride the bike we love. Good luck with yours.
