Gday all, so i decided it was time to snap up another bike,so i decided to buy a 2007 VFR 800,my initial thoughts are its a nice bike to ride, but my 97 vtr would eat it for breakfast.im no speed demon,if anything I'm a grandpa rider, but im so suprised at how well the vtr goes over the vfr,its the 1st fuel injected bike ive owned and i love it.my brother in law thinks im mad because i just love motorbikes.in 2012 i had my left ankle fused after a disastrous injury,so i can only ride bikes with very light gearboxes.Maybe i need some psychiatric help,as i can stand in my shed for ages just admiring my bikes lol.my ankle has left me unable to do long trips due to the pain, but i couldnt imagine a life without bikes in it,just not worth thinking about. if any of you vtr owners ever come through Bombala, drop me a note and we can meet for a cuppa take it easy Doogle

The VFR needs some tuning to get it to go as it should. It has a few quirky emissions doodads that are terrible in engineering terms, and are clearly add-ons after the engine was designed. Do some research on it, a few free mods and a Power Commander and tune makes it MUCH better.
