You had me worrying sjscicluna, My bike sat on the paddock stand in full sun on Sunday morning, i got side tracked... then remembered what you told me. Went running to the bike, felt the assembly, it was ok, but you could feel some warmth.
Will be something i keep an eye on now.

You see from the dimples the sun moves. EDIT. I think it is the lip at the end of the screen that causes this as on the stock unit it is reinforced and spreads the light and docent concentrate it... just a theory tho. Attachments:

I had thought it was a double bubble thing however my taller SP2 screen (Honda OEM part) that I have on the SP1 isn't a double bubble and it started to melt a little indent at the top of the cluster similar but smaller than the one pictured.

Also happened to mine. Black tape on inside of bubble screen seems to have slowed it . Also disconnected small light above headlight in case that was heating up?

Yeah that little light would have to be getting real hot if it was the cause. Your front panel would be melting first if it was.
