Hi All,
New member from Brisbane here. Haven't got a VTR yet, but ones on the shopping list. Definitely my No1 choice for my next ride. Currently riding a Suzuki GS500 which I've had for 2 years. Served me well and taught me lots as I hadn't been on a bike in 20+ years. Loving it, the commute is the best part of the day now. Found the OZFirestorm website awhile back and finally decided to join. Lots of great info here.
Cheers,
Mike

Welcome. I picked up my Storm yesterday I'm not sure about commuting practicality though. What other bikes have you considered? Or did I read your post wrong?

If you enjoy it on the G.S get ready for the fun on a VTR, just watch your license though

Take your time, Plenty around and bargains do pop up from time to time, just ask 2wheels....
I think your V twin grin will be bigger that your P twin grin.

Been keeping my eyes on the market for awhile and seen some nice VTR's for sale. Just have to be patient until the work situation improves and I can justify a purchase.

Hi Mike, welcome to the forum. I'm a newb like yourself albeit returning to the saddle after [coughs...] 30yrs. My VTR's like my own personal time machine; just 5 minutes on it and I feel 20 years younger.

Hi All.
After a long absence from this site I'm finally back (remembered the login and password thank goodness). And yes, I now have a VTR. Picked up a 2007 model and just love it, like everyone said I would. Actually, I've have it for two and a half years which shows how long I've been away. I use it daily and it makes the commute the best part of the day. Always a tough decision whether to turn into the work car park or just keep going on a nice day.
Cheers, chat soon.
Mike
