Welcome to the forum! Thats a nice looking bike. With my first VTR I found the best value mods were a 15t front sprocket for better acceleration and a spacer in the rear shock. Both cost peanuts and made a good improvement. I need to do both to my new one.
Other than that fit an air filter and getting the jetting done by a competent mechanic to suit the filter and pipes.

Thats a nice looking Storm. Make sure its jettedfor the pipes and has a decent air filter. Have a think about a MOSFET type Reg/Rec.
Personally I'd chuck a few decals at it and paint the chin spoiler the same as the fairings. I'm about to do my chin spoiler when a spare arrives. I'll also be going with clear indicator lenses (orange globes)
Has yours got a FE or just a chopped fender?

Nice bike
Don't go with orange globes. You can get chrome look bulbs that light up orange but don't tarnish the clear indicator look when not in use

nah fender eliminator, not chopped by the looks. im pretty sure it has been tuned for the pipes, i bought it off a family member who is the kind of person to do everything properly. there is an issue with the paint starting to chip a bit on the front mudguard, is there a colour code for this paint or will i have to get custom mix?

Colour code should be on a small white sticker on the left hand top of the sub frame under the seat.

well im hooked, these bikes are bloody terrific. shits all over any other bike ive ever ridden. only problem with it is the speed limit seems to come way too fast. with the manual cam chain adjusters, what is the best way to adjust/ check adjustment on them? With rocker covers off is the 100% way but one usually listens to the motor at idle and then do a little adjustment either way. Too loose (out) and the motor will let you know when its unhappy, so then adjust the cct other way (in) and then it should sound a whole lot better i.e. no slapping sounds or valve noises or ticks. Its important to not to go too tight either. Sort of finger tight and then back it off half a turn. Not very scientific I know but don't use a spanner to tighten it and you should be ok. For info, the Superhawk forum has lots of posts about ccts and all sort of other stuff too. Good value

Welcome Sheepy and that's a nice storm. It seems to have the necessities done to it already. If its not back firing or has dead spots in it I would leave it alone and spend any spare coin on bakes and suspension.

Braided lines, shorty levers, upgrade linear forks springs, hid headlight conversion, some good tyres and away you go...
