Looks like a decent alternative if that's what you want and cheap enough to

Ive tried these on my Hornet 900. Sorry but they are not strong. One pair bent the replacement wouldnt hold in place. Buell ones are good, had them on my Bandit.

How do you like the hornet compared to the storm? Hornet has a great motor in a poor chassis. Its goes like stink but flexes all over the place. My storm doesnt have the top end of the Hornet but is better everywhere else. I dropped 15 secs a lap the first time I took the Storm to the track. main straight speed up 30kph. S

But for non track use, and for your average mug rider ( like myself) ,around town general riding and a blast through the hills it's fairly comfy and able? I'm kinda looking for a cheapish something upright & naked like a bandit / hornet/ Z1000 /. Of course to keep the storm warm at night and in the cooler months.

Ive had a Bandit 1200, my avatar is how it looked after its last crash. Hornet is epic for round town. Its very close to the Storm for torque. In the hills its ok but needs suspension work. I got bigger springs front and rear for it. The rear shocks are nasty. But a bit of work and they are fun. Bandit 1200 was great but much heavier to ride. Hornet carries its weight high up. So ok on the road but slow speed stuff can be a handfull. Storms weight is much lower.

You do know that the stock footpegs will rotate about 25mm and then all you need to do is make up a couple of metal tabs to then hold the pipe etc?
