Hi all,
I know that many of you have moved on from the Firestorm but obviously still ride and thought it might be a good idea to get a catch up ride happening and to meet the new members of a forum that all of you have made such a success over the years. I would like to meet these riders and have a chat and ride together.
If there is anyone interested and depending on the numbers and general location of the members the ride details can be posted at a later date and be around the area of the most members showing interest.
It doesn't matter what you ride now but as long as you have been a member of this great site you are more than welcome to ride along.
Lets hope this gets some interest.
Thanks

Well that's the thing Kenmoore, I am open to ideas on this one so if people are keen please throw around some locations that suit and dates that may suit and we can see what we can put together

Robbo pie shop after the Nasho used to be a popular ride with the Forum members. I am up for any where it just depends if I'm rostered off but if I get ample notice I can swap shifts if possible

Pete, sounds great mate where did you guys meet up to start? How long would it take to ride and would the pie shop be the half way mark or end of the ride?

Maybe we should all descend on Albury!
That would give everyone heaps of time to organise it.
Now that would be a great time from what I have heard.

Sorry I missed the question, got a bit excited about Albury.
I live in a small village called Cambewarra.
Not far from Kangaroo Valley at the base of the first mountain as you head north from Nowra.

I'm guessing where the majority of riders can meet is best. There has been talk of the Albury TT which sounds like a fun weekend away and some great roads

Hey guys. I'm totally new to this forum and firestorms for that matter. I just purchased a 2003 firestorm with only 13000km on it, stain tune pipes and a few other little extras. The guy I bought from bought it from a guy who apparently owned stain tune pipes?? Well looked after apart from a few minor scratches. Blue in colour, already looking at a few little mods. I live on the nsw central coast Avoca beach. When looking for this bike only found about 15 of them for sale on bike sales and most of them were too far away to bother about. The one I bought was in normanhurst. Anyway sorry about the verbal diaharrea, a bit excited to find out there is a forum dedicated to firestorms!! The funny thing is, I can't actually ride the bike yet as I am still on provisionals until June 17th, but couldn't miss out on the deal! I have upgraded from a ninja 650 restricted of course, so super excited to be able to ride a monster like this. Thanks for reading and look forward to riding with you soon.

Hey johnno88 mate if your still keen to meet up for a catch up ride we are planning on getting the old walcha trip happening again. It won't be till next year April/June just because of the weather and road conditions are best that time of year but look out for updates and details when they are posted. There is also a planned ride to the GP this year so details will also be posted for that.

I only rode mac pass for the first time the other day. What a road - loved it. Chased a friend up on a vfr800, enjoyed following his lines so wasn't trying to overtake but it was a lovely road, we went down and back up then went on a journey to Picton and then down to the gong and up Bulli pass and thru Royal national park. Great day. Also went on another ride last Sunday and I reckon I met kiwisr71 from here (I think that was what he said his username was). Was great to shake hands with another oz firestorm member, if anyone gets a day off and wants to go for a blast post it up here and I'll see if I can come along. I'm in Sydney city so it's a fair hike to anywhere decent, old pac, putty rd, mac pass etc but I'm always keen for a ride if I can get a day off...

Hey all, I would be keen to catch up, but I guess like some other members, work commitments will get in the way of travelling too far away. I own a very busy Mechanical Workshop in Ashmore, Gold Coast, (Car, SUV, Light Commercials) and am 1 man business so cant get away for long weekends. So maybe as a suggestion that the members that can't get away Interstate or too far away, maybe something regional could be organised?

Ah yeah it was a long one. I've recently passed those pipes on to another mate. Not a storm owner but he's handy and has a little pit bike he's thinking about "upgrading" ;-)
Back to stock pipes now while I decide what I'm going to do. Staintunes or blueflames, slip ons or full system. I feel like if I'm going to drop the cash on slip ons I might as well upgrade the headers too...
Got a few days off coming up and keen to shoot up Mac pass again, might try kangaroo valley too I'll give you a bell and you can come along if you're free
