I would really like to hear from all what your favorite ride is? Is it laps of the Old Road, The Putty, Oxley Hwy, Great ocean road etc.
Details of your fav routes is what I am after?

All rides are good, however if I'm bored I like to ride up to Kiama, then take the Jamberoo road down into Albion Park.
Turn left onto the Illawarra Hwy and go up Macquarie Pass through Robertson.
Turn left into Pearsons Lane go through to Fitzroy Falls, down Barrengarry Mountain into Kangaroo Valley to the Friendly Inn.
Couple of schooners and relax and check out the bikes and people. See some really funny things and cool bikes.
Then ride over Cambewarra mountain to my village at the bottom.
Sometimes I mix it up and go the other way and stop at Berry for a bevy or two and check out the scene.
This is a good ride with many corners and opportunities to relax or go berserk depending on how I feel.

Is it laps of the Old Road, The Putty, Oxley Hwy, Great ocean road etc. Done all of them and would be hard to put one ride in as favourite. My perfect ride would be. Mac Pass three times longer with Grt Ocean Rd for the places to stop, the Oxley either side of Gingers and half the roads we ride at Albury.

My all time favourite is The Oxley between Wauchope and Walcha. I haven't actually ridden since i had my yellow storm but I remember it well. I lived north of Newcastle so i used to do a Buckets way- Thunderbolts Way - Oxley loop quite often. Locally for me now I like a lot of the roads around the Gold Coast Hinterland and Northern NSW. A good loop for takes in roads around Advancetown, Beechmont, Numinbah Valley, Springbrook etc. Like the example google map here - goo.gl/4KJbAaI start near Ipswich though so my total distance is a lot more than that.

Another good one for me is a quick blast up to Neriga, stop for a bunger and then onto the Hume through Tarago etc.
Stop at the first servo , fuel up and then onto Exeter, Bundanoon and the Valley.
Stop in the Valley for a bevy or two and then a quick blast back over the mountain to home.
About 260K's and a great country ride.
A variation on this ride is to go down the Clyde and onto Batemans Bay. Then head north to Ulladulla and on into Nowra.
Both rides are good and make a great day trip.
There are some great sections on both these trips but you need the best part of a day to do it comfortably!!!

Starting at Jindabyne , go up thru Thredbo over Dead Horse Gap thru to Khancoban , then up the best motorcycling road in the country to Kiandra , turn right for a blast down to Adaminaby and Cooma. More corners than you could poke a stick at , little traffic and wonderful scenery (if you have time to look at it). Nirvana.

I've been a hobbit all my life and as much as its a bad surfaced, cop infested, tredly riddled, tourist rubber necking stretch of road, the Nasho is where I rode my RD250 on L plates in the early 70's. There's a shit load of better bits of tar all over the country but in the summer during the week after work around 7pm no cars around, its heaven on two wheels.

Put the wet weather gear on and ventured to Johnos Corner out past Neriga for a burger and coffee.
Fortunately the road was dry and void of traffic.
As a consequence I had a red flashing light approx 60 K's out from Nowra on the return trip. Sat her on 120 and I'm sure it was running on fumes when I got to the Shell in Nowra.
All up 240 Klms on 1 tank, but I was thrashing it on the way up. Once I saw the red light it put a halt to proceedings.
A great ride with some long sweeping high speed corners on a great day!

Your lucky mate I think anywhere north of Wollongong has been pouring with rain....there is no way my bike will see the skies or the roads at anytime this weekend..

It's dry in the Shoalhaven this morning. I used to love Cambewarra Mountain. Grew up in Nowra, and used to ride it 2 or 3 times a week, just for fun, moved to Tassie in '93. Didn't get a chance to visit the mountain when I was there in 2010, but the ride up the Coast Road from Melbourne was like visiting an old friend, then I realised that I hadn't actually ridden it for 30 years.
