Well, as you will remember there was a divide between Nowra and Bomaderry in those days.
Might as well have lived on different planets eh!
My parents were mortified when I built a house in Bomaderry.
Even more so when I almost moved to Berry,
I remember your name for some reason and I think it's down to bike envy.
The clue was in the GSXR for me as they were rare in our parts in those days.
I seem to remember admiring your bike in Nowra one day.
I live in Cambewarra these days and love to ride the mountain.
If you ever get back here look me up!
Been to Tassie and have road envy you lucky bugger.
These days the mountain is overcrowded with tin tops and tourists, but some times I get lucky!
Cheers for now and stay safe.

That GSXR was without a doubt the best bike I ever owned, and I regret selling it every day of my life. It suited my needs so perfectly, that I kept it stock other than the Tyres which I changed to Dunlops, and the Steering Damper which died and I replaced it with a rebuildable one. I even kept the stock Exhaust. I believe that it has been written off now.
Will certainly look you up next time I'm in town visiting my parents.
Probably fly up before the end of the year, the ride up is pretty hard on the old bod these days, and heavy on the pocket as well, the Spirit of Tasmania costs twice as much as flying.
I'm lucky enough to have a brilliant road with lots of twisty bits right at my front door, so a quick 1 hour ride to blow out the cobwebs is an absolute delight. I'll show it to you if you're ever back this way, same goes for any other stormers in the area, all are welcome.

B64 is the "short cut" to work when I take the bike.

ATM mine would have to be the run starting at Mudgeeraba, heading up to Springbrook, turn right into Pine Ck road and then turn right on to the Nerang Murwillumbah road and head towards Nerang. Its a nice 80k round trip from my house and starts with a few round a bouts for warm up. If I haven't had enough by Nerang, there is a round a bout you can do u turn on and go back and do it in reverse.
Great for when I get an early mark off work during the week as there is bugger all traffic.

I have to endure about an hour of boredom in any direction before I get to something decent.

I did it this arvo, well middle of the day. Was pretty busy, heaps of tin tops and cruisers which can be just as bad. The good thing is that even after all the rain and wind we had the road is in great shape. No gravel washed across anywhere or tree branches. Barley any leaves. A nice ride!
