I am running Pilot Road 2s back and front at recommended pressures. The Storm seems very sensitive to road surface, the rougher the surface the more vibrate sort of noise from the front end and nose fairing area... Is this normal or do I need to look for something not installed correctly so it vibrates?
(I ride with the visor a bit open normally, so I hear it... with visor fully closed it can't really be heard.)

Doesn't sound good. I can't say I have that issue, is it the fairing making noise or the front wheel? Is your screen or mirrors loose maybe?

Front wheel bearings maybe. Suggest you raise the front with a stand and spin the wheel to see if the noise is replicated and if not try and make the wheel move horizontally.
Any slack either way and it's your wheel bearings. Could also be head stem bearings. Same test at the head and if there is any movement adjust the head/ steering stem bearings.
Worth a try!

screen. mirrors and fairing all seem tight. The noise changes depending on the road surface, on a smooth road it is almost quiet. I'll check the bearings and steering head... Thanks.

Was the problem there before you went to the Pilot's Don't compare the VTR front end to the SP I see in your av because they are worlds apart!

Tyres can cause noises, especially if they have imperfections.
I was a service manager for a few years in a car dealership and have seen a few cars that presented as having crook wheel bearings only to find out that tyres had caused the noise.
Worth having a close look at the tyres.

Hey Steve, I run the pilot 2 also and have similar noise depending on road surface. I have been thru wheel bearing check, fairing/ front guard check. Nothing seems loose or untoward so I just enjoy the ride until the need for some new front rubber.

I would say its the road noise from the tyre if everything else checks out ok. you get it in cars and the drowning noise they can cause is unbelievable.

That's what I put it down to, the performance of the tyre is fantastic so a little noise doesn't bother me.
