Over the last couple of years a lot of new members have joined up here. Add to that, me selling my (slightly out of the ordinary) 'storm and as a result, not a lot of members will be familiar with me around here. However, there's still the old guard who might vouch for me! Anyway, I've signed up for a charity ride later this year and I'm expecting all of you to throw in a dollar or two! The Scrapheap Adventure Ride is in its fourth year and raises money for Down Syndrome NSW. Basically, to be eligible for the ride, you need to purchase a bike for less than $1,000 and ride it to the destination, which this year is Nymboida NSW. I've teamed up with my brother Graham (who may or may not be known as Bowler around these parts) and we've equipped ourselves with a pair of HONDAs to ensure our safe passage there and back (around 1,500 klms). There is talk at the mo' of another OZFS member joining us, so stay posted! scrapheap.everydayhero.com/au/russell# is the link to my donor page if you could spare a couple of dollars. Really, if you could just throw in a couple of dollars, I'd be stoked. Every dollar helps! Our team name is Team Oldslow, so if the linky thing doesn't work for you go to the Everyday Hero site and look for us. We're there, loud and proud! PS By the way, we'll be on CT110s. Yep postie bikes. So it wont be a doddle, but we're going to give it a red hot bash so it would be great if you could chuck in a couple of dollars, really! thanks Russell

Not sure what Incy has. It's some kind of ag bike. But Bowler and myself will be on posties. One of them got rego'd today and the other should be on the road in the next week or so. Just waiting for the seat to be re-covered and it's GTG! If anyone else is thinking about joining us, do it! An Unregistered Vehicle Permit can be had for very little dollars and will cover you for up to 28 days if you're worried about the cost of regoing a cheap bike to come along with us (or form your own team). Have a look at the link in my original post and maybe have a think about it. It's all for a good cause (and a bit of fun)
