if anyone is looking for a cheap action cam to use on their bike...... i recently bought a mobius...... got in on good ole ebay for lik 89 bucks i think....... by the time i grabbed a few extra mounts and things i think i spent a total of 110.
the video quality is great...... im sure those with a go pro or equivalent will say its not as good..... but for me.... and for the price i am stoked with it...... had it mounted on the top of the helmet today and also had it mounted on the mirror stalk..... i love it
wind noise is pretty much unbareable, but ive read that you can plug in an external mic and mount it somewhere out of the wind.... or some people are even opening the camera and chocking it with wool.
anyway just thought i would put this up incase anyone was interested..... i wanted a cam just to play around with, but didnt want to drop the money for a go pro.
oh it uses a standard camera tripod mounting system and ive also got a gopro mount converter coming so i can also use all the gopro mounts on the market.
will try and throw up some footage later in the week if i get a chance.

I just bought a contour from the states for $100. Had a mate in the states grab it and is shipping it to me this week as the site was US only... It's not the best either but guys I know with them get good results and there's plenty of mounts available. Cheaper options are out there hey.

I have had a contour roam for about a year and it's been brilliant.
Not as obtrusive as my sons go pro and I purchased some wind socks for the mic and they make the sound bearable.

They are little stick on furry things that go over the mic hole.
Most camera stores sell them.
I will post a pic tonight!

I bought an Aldi one on Saturday. Cost $50 , only had to get an SD card (ebayer , $22) for it. It is really small , simple to use and has a waterproof case and mount for wherever you want to put it. Plug and play on my Mac. Graham

The good thing about the contour is you can mount it anywhere at any angle and use an inbuilt laser to make sure that it is aimed right,
But $50 is a bargain.
I saw them and thought I'll buy one but how many do I need .
Just ordered some extra mounting brackets so I can switch from bike to bike and I also use mine on my surfboards.
All up I now have 11 mounting brackets.
I use it a lot.

I bought mine mainly for offroad riding so I'm hoping to just mount it to the side of my helmet with the mount that comes in the box and find somewhere to stick a mount on the VTR without having to buy to many extras. I'm thinking an SD card, extra mount and probably a mic sock are about all I'll need?
