Does anyone on here use a go pro camera? More to the point have it attached to their helmet when riding? I have heard on the weekend that a guy up this way was pulled over because he had a go pro attached to his helmet and was charged $311 and 3 demerit points.....
now ow on knowing what happened leading up to all this but my question has anyone ever heard about this being illegal or has had any trouble themselves?

That's a new one on me.
I have a contour roam fitted to my right fairing and been pulled over and not a thing was said.
Was he booked for the camera or something else?

Was he booked for the camera or something else? no he was booked and fined because it was attached to his helmet....something about voids the Australian compliance....I will have more info on this once the replies come back from the RTA and motorcycling councils

She it,
What next, although after what happened to Schumaker I would be thinking twice before putting a camera on my helmet!

I've used a go-pro on my helmet, but only at the track. On the road I've only attached to the bike. This is news to me, but if there is a law against 'modifying' your helmet then I suppose it's plausable if you get an a$$hole cop.
