Righto team,
This year has proven to be some of the best racing we have seen in years. No longer is it a Formula 1 style podium and front row lockout by Marc Marquez. We have had 3 different winners in Marquez, Rossi and Lorenzo and 3 different pole position holders, with Ducati hitting the front row TWICE!!
Speaking of Ducati, the last race in Italy and the home track for a number of teams including Ducati, saw the total destruction of the previous highest speed recorded in Motogp history, with Andrea Iannoni reaching speeds in excess of 350KM/H on a very regular basis in full race trim.
Marques has had a bad run of luck, or maybe his is just finally running out. He cant seem to take the risks he used to, making simple errors and costing him valuable points in the championship. It will take some brilliant riding that we all know he is capable of to come back from here.
Valentino Rossi is on track to claim him 10th premier class championship, solidifying his immortal status as long as he can hold of the pace of Lorenzo. He has openly admitted that he is playing catch up with the "99" bikes setup. If anyone can do it, Vale can.
Next round heads to Catalunya, Spain which will sure to be a fantastic race. The Spaniards are about as fanatical as they get when it comes to MotoGP racing. It helps when half the field is from here, and i believe the championship races there 2-3 times in the space of a season.
Ill update this thread from time to time with other news and info about the upcoming races. Feel free to discuss your views on the championship, who your loving, what your predictions are and what you would like to see in future races. I'm an avid fan, and could write about 1000 words per race, but I wont bore you with all the little ins and outs of MotoGP.
Here's to the next GP
