Just a heads up. If your tired of paying $25 plus at Honda for the above item, I went to AutoBarns and got two for the price of one Honda one. They had to order it in but can do it. If your AutoBarn looks at you like you've got two heads and its all too hard, get them to call the Bundall(Surfers Paradise) store in QLD and they will know all about it.

What brand are they? I use K&N chrome filter that I buy in packs of 3 from Flea Bay in the States. Its distributed by Wesfil Aust. And on the box its a Super Max R Element. Has Chinese? writing on the box and filter itself. Still, looks the same as the Honda and has about the same weight. And its RED! to go with RED storms - gunna clash on my bike though!

I use these in my cbr and have no adverse effects in doing so.

My brother uses those on his TLS and has done so for a long time without any adverse effects.
I prefer to stick with the K&N chrome.
It's a peace of mind thing for me.

My wife's ER-5 came with one of these on it - A Scotts stainless mesh oil filter. I had to work out what it was because I hadn't seen one before. The build quality of it is insane and its really easy to clean once you know how to pull it apart. I have no idea how much they cost. Probably a lot.

I want one of those, I have run out of K&N
I think they run about $120- plus shipping.
I have seen them on flea bay from time to time.

Looks good. I like the idea of being able to clean and reuse. Will have to look into it.
