Hi all has anyone made a carb sync or manometer to sync their carbs. Do you recommend them or is it better to shell some hard earned to get a name brand one?

I made one with some clear tubing and a ball bearing. looped it circular, taped it and attached it to two tubes I have set up in vacuum nipples. The one that goes to the tank I "T"d off. Found a bit of a how to somewhere (utube?). I had some "un natural" vibes at about 4.5k onwards and it sorted that out. Was a rough and ready bit o kit but seemed to do the job. In the three - four odd years of having the bike, that is all the carby stuff I've done!
You could shell out on a proper manometer that would come in handy for an IL4 but twins are simple( allegedly).

Yeah thinking of making one that has the two tubes and is liquid filled. I was thinking about the proper set up but for what I need I think the home made one will work fine.

I saw the one you made on Facebook mate. Awesome job! So where did you get the procedure from on how to hook it up and do the sync?

Yeah thanks mate, very easy to do and works a treat and for $8 hooked up I couldn't fault it. The actual procedure I researched on the superhawk forum but have done it before but with proper gauges. The system I have used works very well and gives a great result, easy to use and very Cheap to set up.

Hi all, I found this online. Cheap twin vacuum Gauge set for our Storms $59.95 in Australia
Here is a link to the site Third Gear
They have heaps of other useful stuff too I will get a set myself in a few weeks or so. But will have a go at setting mine up by ear for now, I have set up multiple carbs by ear listening down the throats by with a hose on cars I have setup over the years with great results, so worth a crack in the mean time lol
