So I really like the look of the powerbronze lower fairing and have decided I need one. Thinking very hard about ordering one for myself for Christmas, and maybe a double bubble dark tint windscreen and a black rear hugger and a clear headlight protector (work has been very kind to me recently and for the first time in history there's an excess in the bank coming up to Christmas...) and was thinking if anyone wants some bits we can save on postage. I'm in Sydney so makes sense that you are too if you're interested.
On that note, if anyone has a better lower fairing they'd like to show me, I'd be very interested to see it. I google image searched them earlier and I think the powerbronze is my favourite. Only comes in black white or matt black but I am going to spray it red to match the bike unless I end up liking the look of the black against the red. Don't think so tho - I saw a picture of a fully red firestorm with lower powerbronze fairing and I think it is essential for mine...
anyway if you like anything on the powerbronze website I'll order it for you and you can just fix me up for it and we'll split the postage, instead of having to pay a bunch

I think mine is a power bronze fairing and I like it. The only thing that lets them down is you cannot view the oil level window but other than that they are great.

My yellow one had a Powerbronze as well. Same deal as John, loved it except for not being able to see the oil level. It was a real problem when it was using a certain brand of oil and the level was dropping over time.

This is good to know. Reckon it would be too much to holesaw a little viewing window in? I'm not stoked about taking to a $400 fairing with a holesaw kit but if it's a problem I'll have to sort it out... Maybe a 40mm hole right over the oil window, can stick a rubber gland in the hole so the edge looks neat. I'll have to have a look when it arrives. I've looked at a bunch of lowers and the powerbronze is my favourite so I might just have to deal with it if the holesaw idea won't work.

Mate it does stop there. I have had to hole saw a few holes in the bottom of mine. Where the collector is cause at lights and at idle for a long time the heat from the pipes can't get out quick enough and starts to melt the fairing. A few holes in the bottom fixes that and also allows water and debris to escape quicker. If you want just get some nice looking race mesh and mesh the holes

Sounds great I'll sort something out and take some photos. Might put some of that mesh over the radiator vents too, quite like the look of it

How about wrapping the header pipes? That's what I did to mine.

I had wrap around the headers which worked, I then removed it to polish the headers, which I liked a lot then I covered them with the belly pan.... Go figure.
