Hi V twiners. Has anyone got any experience with adding paneer style luggage to our rides? I need a bit more storage for longer trips. Already have venture top box but looks silly.

I had some Gearsack sport panniers for a while , they were a long thin type of pannier unlike the more boxy types , supposed to be a little bit more aerodynamic. They weren't big enough for my needs on longer trips so I sold them on. The biggest issue I found with the 'storm and panniers is the bodywork under the seat is a little too wide , making the panniers rub on the paintwork. There may be a way to put a small frame there to stop this , and the panniers from contacting the pipes , but it was too much bother for me and in the way if you have a pillion. Good luck with it.

I have an ancient set that I have had for Decades. I don't get out much, so they don't get a lot of use. I put a towel under them to give the paintwork a chance, seems to work OK. They served me well when I did my last big trip to Sydney then down to Phillip Island and finally home to Tassie.......

I have a kriega US50. I don't know if that's something you'd be interested in. It's a 30L dry bag that straps to the rear seat with 2x 10L packs that strap to the sides of it. I can stuff a shitload of stuff into them and they sit so neatly on the bike. I'm a huge fan, I feel totally comfortable riding on multi day trips with more than enough supplies on board...
