Hey all, I was at one of my local Super Cheap Autos Spares yesterday getting a few bits and pieces and found they have Vesrah Sintered Metal Brake Pads VD-163JL in stock for $19.00? I have only owned my Firestorm a week and the rear brake was woeful as the pads are nearly worn out and glazed and darn near had to stand on it to get any significant braking, so I was going to order some brakepads tomorrow. I found the Vesrah's and they were only $19 and thought for that it was a cheap gamble and if not would get me a few more days till I got something better. Well I am stocked now as the bike pulls up brilliantly now and I have only done 10kms and they are not fully bedded in. They do have the Fronts as well so, I will probably get a set of them too as a backup once I have sorted a few other things.
Regards Kev

Checked out the Application Guide.... Part Numbers for the Firestorm are Front: VD-154/2JL Rear: VD-163 JL Unfortunately I was unable to find those part numbers on the Supercheap page, but I'll keep looking, I'm in the market for new Brake Pads too but I'm struggling to justify the price of EBC Pads, which I have always used since the 80's.

Both Super Cheaps close to me had both part numbers in store Front: VD-154/2JL Rear: VD-163 JL when I was there a few days ago. Might find it varies from store to store as they don't have a huge range in either shop. Might even be worth giving your local one a call or if close going in and have a sticky beak if you can resist buying some other crap you probably don't need or want. I have that problem lol. Kev

Got all fired up later that night and bought 2 sets of EBC HH ones off E-Bay, cost me about $90 Part number FA187HH. also fits CBR900RR and others. I probably paid too much, but what's an E-bay junkie to do on a 12 hour night shift stuck in front of a computer.
