Well ... what can I say .... it certainly wasnt by choice ... lost my 2001 Storm in the recent floods and got paid out by insurance after taking out fully comprehensive just one month prior lol ... not to mention rego renewal 2 weeks later lol Luck of the draw! Was toying with the idea of buying another Storm but I had done so much to mine that nothing for sale really came close and for the money the Bandit started to beckon .... so bought a 2010 Bandit GSF1250SA with Yoshi exhaust for just a little more than the payout money. Miss my Storm, had her for 9 years and loved every minute of it ... Will put up a few odds n sods for sale that I still have over the coming weeks ... metal chain guard/Givi fittings and big box (brought brand new in April)/plus the usual original levers and indicators/toolkit and so on A big big thanks to those members who have assisted and enlightened me along my journey, without this forum I would still be a motorcycle virgin ... thanks again!

Bandit eh? I had a 2008 naked one of those for a while. It kept the storm warm at night. Ton a grunt but heavy and never got the hang of it going around corners, Lot of bike for not much money. I stuck a pipe on it to get some sound out of it and make it look good, But.....no character and a bit bland. Sold it after having it not even 6 months.
But we all need to change things around from time to time and there are plenty of happy bandit owners, hope you are one of them!

I know what you mean ..... love the grunt, sounds acceptable with the Yoshi ... but yeah, it aint no V twin ... Still, its 9 years younger. 33 000km less milage, and could be the one ... time will tell! Must say I feel like less of a hooligan on the Bandit

Hope you enjoy the Bandit.
I have had numerous bikes while owning the Storm and still like my Storm the best.
Buggered if I know why but the Storm is a great all rounder.

Sad to hear you lost your storm mate. I hope you have many happy years with your Bandit. Like the storm they are a lot of bike for the money.

Plenty of people that have them rave about them so they must have something, but then you ask them if they have ever owned a storm......
And I have seen many a hooligan on a bandit.... Haha
