Greetings all,
Thanks for having me on board..
I am not really new to bikes, but am very green to navigating these boards, so if I post in the wrong areas, please forgive me...
Well like you all, I have great tastes in bikes, I love my Storm, I bought it as a Stat right off, it was an 02 model ( never to be re-registered). The bike looked bog stock and never played with. The bike was straight and had bugger all damage. The damage consisted of a blinker ,mirror, a slight scratch on the muffler and a slightly bent sub frame. No idea why it was a stat
Anyway the long and short of it all, I got a 97 frame and converted all parts over onto it. I straightened the sub frame and replaced the mirror, lever and blinker. That was almost 3 years ago
To look at the bike, it almost looks new. Now it is officially a 97 model, but I don't care. (less time to wait for classic bike rego ) lol.
Unfortunately I ride the bike far less than I should. I work only a few minutes from home. It takes far more time getting the bike uncovered, unlocked, out of the shed, geared up and away.... (I am at work in less time in the ute).
So anyway last weekend, my mate came around with his new bandit. I got the bike out for a long deserved ride, I spent almost 5 hours on the seat, up the old Pacific hwy, pie in the sky ( great curry pie). we ended up at the car show at The Entrance.. What a great day... I am hooked all over again.
Although I have been riding on and off for more than 30 years, I would have to say I don't think I am a great rider. I get on a bike, ride it and deal with its quirks .I just basically accepted the bike for what it was when i rode it.
So anyway after my last ride, I now want to get the more out of my bike. I want to set the bike up better ,I feel it could handle better. It feels a bit hard in the suspension and a bit springy...
So basically I went looking for answers to setting up my bike and chatting with like minded people & ended up here..
So once again, hello everyone
