Guys I finally installed my lightened flywheel from Hpower. What a great little mod. Still has all the torque of the bike vtwin and virtually the same characteristics of before but spins up a lot quicker... very noticeable on the open roads but out of corners is where you really feel and notice it..
Engine breaking has increased but only slightly which is great as I was worried about being thrown over the bars.....
Would highly recommend it

I have had the same now for about 4 years.
I love the way it spools up quicker ad the sound as you get up it is great.
I ride a lot of mountain roads and recently swapped bikes with another VTR that was standard.
I had forgotten how much quicker the bike revs with this mod.
One of the best mods if you are chasing some more performance.
Have you noticed the difference in exhaust noise at road speeds?

I did think it was different but will wait till I'm used to the change first before making a judgement as I'm doing what we all do and hearing noises that aren't there after any mod or change

The one regret I have with this mod is that I didn't weigh and compare the original to the exchange one that I got from Bill at H Power so I have no idea now what the difference was .
There is a guy on the American site named Eric Marquez who has done 9 different weight flywheels from moderate to insane weight reductions and he is still experimenting.
I for one won't be mucking around with mine, it has been in for about 4-5 years and no problems.
This is one of the better mods at a minimal cost for a big return.

Robert Hetheringtom on the UK VTR firestorm Facebook page has been doing flywheels recently too, He recently put a lathe in his shed. Not sure if he has been doing different weights yet but he recently took a little off a clutch basket as well and found standard that they are not very well balanced. So maybe a combo of a lighter flywheel and clutch basket would see smoother and more gains.
