Well now it's my time..... insure my ride have sent me the letter! So question is who to go with
Shannons sounds good. They will honour current pricing and offer more in riding gear insurance but I have never dealt with them.
Swann insurance also sounds promising but again have never dealt with them so who do you recommend and why
Thanks

They seem to change a lot over time. A few years ago the mob I hang out with (including a bike mechanic who is also an insurance assessor) used to bag out Swann and say Shannons were the only one to use.Apparently Swann were slow to asses and pay claims and they didn't work weekends so you couldn't get a claim number for towing etc if you dropped it on the weekend. Now a few years later Shannons are not what they used to be and apparently Swann have really sorted themselves out. Shannons are part of Suncorp group so they have been squeezing the profits out of it lately. I ended up changing from Shannons to Swann last year as it was less than half the price. Both our bikes are Comprehensive for $250 each. I think two-fiddy is their minimum because it doesn't matter what I put as the value it never goes lower. So I kept upping the insured value until it started to put the premium up.

Thanks Binny I just did a quick online quote and was able to increase the amount of cover from 5600 to 6300 for the same amount.

Have been with Swann for years, certainly not slow on payouts, have had 3 claims in last few years & money in the bank within the week if its a straight forward claim. Pay $250 each per year for a 2003 & 2005, including good deal on riding gear.

Thanks guys I think Swann is the go as they have given a better payout figure, gear protection and same premium. And going off what others have said they are pretty good with claims too
