And specifically front wheel allignment.
Not too long ago I hit a pothole the size of Texas but not for the first time and I am embarrassed to say, the same pothole! But any way, recently saw mentioned a video on aligning the front wheel by loosening all the bolts south of the top clamp and the headstem nut then pushing directly down on the headstock three or four times while bike is on the paddock stand and me sitting on the bike.
Maybe its about seeing a problem and thinking you may have that problem, but to be honest, the bike does feel like crap in corners and I have lost a bit of confidence with it. Could smacking a pothole put the front wheel out of wack and is the above method of alignment sound about right?
PS, Just went out to the shed and the front wheel is pretty noticabley kicked off to the left!!

Yes and yes.... mine was out of alignment and I’m sure I used the same method to re align it....
Works well and you can always check by string line if needed... make sure the rim runs true and isn’t bent in anyway first though

Well, gave it a go and the light dimmed before I could finish properly, but bugger me. I set the torque wrench to ft/lb while reading newton meters and snapped an axle pinch bolt. Worst part was, at the time I was thinking that it was feeling too tight. Should have trusted my instinct. Anyway, thanks to ebay, new pinch bolts on the way! Just gotta drill the snapped one out, lucky it didn't strip the thread.
I think it did straighten up, but I think your(my) mind plays tricks when trying to line it up by eye.

How'd you go ?
A ride says a thousand words eh!
Have you ridden it yet since you did the alignment ?

I haven't received the pinch bolts yet so not game to push too hard or go too far. The one that snapped is "locked in" so I have taken it for a cautious ride, and yes it feels a lot better round a corner!
