Hi guys , finding myself needing a more suitable touring bike and I have 2 sports bikes so I'm thinking of selling the mighty VTR , it's got everything needed for a great track bike , Yoshi System , racetech springs in the front , Hyperpro spring on an 04 rear shock on the back , Coerce fork brace and a heap of spares including new front discs and a few spares off a wrecked 04 I bought , looking for 2600 unregistered as I don't have time to chase up roadworthys , good clean bike with a lot of spare , I'd like to keep it and have 3 bikes or more but the cooks not keen on that . I guess the Buell Master brought back the love for the Buell mate? Guess the Buell will get to do the Oxley again in March with the Walcha run?

Maybe a different bike mate or if the VTR doesn't sell it'll still be registered then .

What happened mate? You going to keep it and make it more touring friendly? Yeah mate I've bought some VFR bars for it and I've got a second seat I might put some extra padding in and it'll do the job for the time being , I'm just doing one trip down south next year (2 if you count Walcha ) .

When we catch up next mate, I will show you my seat I did very comfy now. I can ride all day and other than stiff joint from arthritis am all good. I bought a seat pad from Born Behind Barz (the pad was $100 and has gel and memory foam) and embedded the core of it in my main seat and recovered it and have seat cowl on it permanantly and did another seat with memory foam added to it front and rear and recovered as a duel seat for when Yan comes out as well with me and means she can be on much longer with her bad back now.

Yeah the seat makes a big difference. I don't know who did mine but it has been repadded and reshaped. I rode to Taree and back having only ridden the bike twice in 6 months and still did it easy. I would have been suffering on the old storm. The downside is the seat is higher. Not a big amount but the equivalent of having a rear shock spacer. Not a problem for me but could be for the vertically challenged.

Yeah I've got a spare seat here I'm going to drop it into the upholstery place out here and get it re arranged a bit then if I'm going to go distance I can just swap them over .
