Went over to Wakefield Park yesterday .
There was a tidy VTR being raced in the open class and doing respectable times up against some other period bikes.
I had a quick look and it had some nice mods. Understandably the owner was pretty occupied so didn't get to talk much.
He did however alert me to the fact that our bikes were similar however he had a very nice set of what appeared to be PVM wheels !

I believe it’s harleys from RB Racing in taren point. First day racing, 2x second places, and they learned a lot about the bike too

I joined the club yesterday and am looking at a bucket racer as an entry point.
I didn't get any pics of the VTR but watched it race and he was doing well.
Sounded bloody good and had some "Mumbo "

I spoke to him a few months ago and he believes the bike to be the same one that Rob Carrall won the Formula Xtreme title on back in 98(?). It used to belong to a member on here before he got it and put it back to work.

Thanks , just interested in what spec needs to be done to have a competitive bike .
It was well presented and performed well.
I read somewhere that it has 125 Hp and 79 foot lbs of torque.

I read somewhere that it has 125 Hp and 79 foot lbs of torque Thats roughly 25% power increase and 10% torque increase on my bike and I haven't done much (no hi comp pistons, velocity stacks or any other go faster bits, just staintune exhaust, hi flow filter, dynojet jet kit and Dyno tune). Im sure I could get some more power out of it with racing spec jets etc, but that is a massive increase in power. But there was a reason they didn't have USD forks on it and stuff, I think mods like that aren't allowed for the class they wanted to race it in. But it looks beautiful, the exhaust is like the SP1 and 2 where it sweeps up and changes the whole look of the back end.

If it is Robs old bike it had a lot of work done. We did a track at Wakefield years ago and the owner had it there. Rob was there too with his blade and did a session on the old storm as well. Engine wise it had Cams and pistons at the very least. It also had a custom carbon fibre airbox that Rob said they basically made it in situ on the bike to fill the whole area and give it as much volume as possible. I vaguely remember 140+ Hp being mentioned. (It still had less than the TL1000 he was racing against but he usually beat the TL because it handled much better) Bear in mind Rob raced a couple of Firestorms and then an SP1 later as well.

Andrew Fenwick was the owner before RB Racing. Rob Carroll had it before that , and won an Australian championship on it. A bike with lots of history- RIP Rob , sadly missed.
