Hi All. Went for a ride up north last weekend and part of that ride involved the above mentioned road. Got to the pub in Walcha and saw this partition on the wall about the impending speed limit reductions the RMS, or what ever they're called now, are intending to implement shortly. I had a great ride up that rode with only one stuff up which is good for me. (was gonna say fuckup but it's not polite). I'd hate to see the speed limit reduced. I can't concentrate on the corners and look out for cop cars - it's too hard. It might have already been mentioned on this group but the partition is at click.mail.change.org/?qs=f7fd243c8e5911e1168895be14423ab2d154840b880ef6beea140736f615dfc571728ca1c40c2bd5fb06f511e311e1a7a86062f517e3b7975d787e58ab1146bcHad a well sore arse by the time I'd ridden back to the south coast but it was a very enjoyable 4 days. No crashes - no spewing. Excellent.

Clay, they have already changed the speed limits on the Oxley they came into affect late last year, the petition did the rounds early last year and after concerned groups had meetings with RMA they ignored it and reduced it anyway

Limits weren’t really followed anyway, just means getting caught now costs more... haha. It’s a great bit of road and really should be left the way it was

As with most nice windy roads if you only speed in the actual windy bits your unlikely to get booked as it's hard for them to get a radar reading so the cops tend to hang around the more open stuff down towards Long Flat and Wauchope so it shouldn't affect much but it is a pain in the arse

Lowering speed limits everywhere boys .
Out past Neriga is now 80Ks and there will be more coming.
They say it's in the interest of safety ( If they really cared bout motorcyclists they wouldn't allow wire safety barriers that act like cheese cutters when you hit them ) I can't help think that its more to do with revenue !

Yeh. Noticed the new speed limits near Nerriga a few days ago. Assume you're talking about the Nerriga between Braidwood and the coast? Lot of road works on the Braidwood side. Might be all tar one day. I just received a red light camera fine in the mail from my trip up to Walcha. Got it in Windsor when I was lost. Bloody good cameras in those poles. I could zoom in and see the new brake lines.

I don’t think you are stupid. You just have a bad luck when thinking.

There's a speed limit on the Oxley? Since when?
