Hi Fstormers. Got a few weeks off over the christmas break and wanting to do a mod. I'd like to get all the bits together before then so it's ready to go. Bike is stock except for brakes and seat. I'm looking for sugestions as to what mod to do.
Also, does anyone know of a bike dyno / carby place close to Sth Coast NSW. I'm down near Batemans bay. I'm thinking that after 18 years and 40000ks its time to rebuild them. I get a very occasional misfire at odd times.
Thanks for any sugestions, Clay. Have replaced chain tensioners.

Simon at Jobsons Motor Sports in Nowra is handy .
He has done a bit of work on Storms and is keen.
These guys live and breath bikes and I have known them for years.
They have a good Dyno set up and cater to all bikes.
P.S Hard to find someone that understands carbs these days.

Took the time to search this site and most of my questions have been answered. I'm filing up a spacer from 5mm aluminium plate to fit the rear shock now. What should I notice once I've fitted this and taken it for a spin?

Sharper turn in.
Be aware that when you fit the shim you should back the preload off to minimum , ride the bike for a while then reset your sag on the suspension.
The shim lifts the back of the bike and loads the front end up, getting really technical it alters the suspension geometry, that is why it turns in better.
The rear shock gets extended and becomes harsh ,that is why the sag should be done.
In the end I had my preload backed right off !
I now have a DMR rear shock that is longer than standard so no shim .
The shim is a great low cost mod that makes the bike less of a handful on unbroken rough surfaces and gives better feed back from the front end.
While your at it drop the front forks 10mm and that will help the handling as well.

Blackbird side stand will help with the extra lean.

I put up with mine leaning for years and was always very careful how And where I parked.
Solved it by buying an adjustable one of fleabay .
