In the beginning...there were a pair of used dirt bike barkbusters. Godd quality "Made IN OZ" Tensile aluminium. After a brief Introduction...hammer to vice like.. I did similar on a hare scrambler (sorta like yesterday... when I was younger) tied the bar ends to the triples triangulating them and never bent any more bars. I'm calling them "Lanesplitters"

I like the idea, but there's nowhere near enough room for my meat hooks. Are they actually attached to the bars both ends? I can't see where they go behind the M/c. If they're not attached, you might run the risk of them slipping under/over the bar and causing damage anyway in the event of an impact. I'm not trying to shitcan your idea, so don't take what I say too seriously.

They are bolted to the top triple clamp bolts and into the bar end weight mount to triangulate the bar. My left pinky is useless thanks to an unannounced civics u-turn some time ago so I admit to making little room for it...but that event and my current location did motivate the mission a little. I left the left one long to accommodate the ram mount previously on the triple but the right is trimmed. These were small motocross busters. They bent ok with a 6"brass faced vice and a big lead hammer. I could have made them almost half an inch deeper but they would have to hang lower to clear at lock. The left just touches but the right clears. I did a similar thing on a dirt bike when I was a little younger, tying the bar ends to the triples, rarely bent bars afterwards. Triangulates them a little I guess A smaller clutch master or a sleeving it may be necessary perhaps, she is a firm three fingerer but a baggy two. Helps to be less endowed A heads up if anyone is aware of a smaller master? This is stock and declutches in the first half inch or so but doesnt hit the override micro til nearly home

Ahh that looks better. I've got hands like a giant so it would'nt work for me, but I like it! Oberon are doing a similar thing but in poly-acetal and mounted only on the bar end. Appears their concept has been copied en masse by chinese manufacturers (I know right, who would have thought?) My glove are 2XL. I didn't notice the bar over the brake but the clutch could be a little better. A work in progress...started making a plug for glass covers... but then I got side tracked with another mod...as you do
