Well I haven't been here for a while and good to see it still going! (No thanks to me)
As the title of this thread says - 20 years old, no not me, I wish. But how can a 20 year old with nothing digital except the odo / trip meter, no traction control, ABS, blah, blah, blah be safely ridden on the road? I'll tell ya, cause it's so damn good looking, it doesn't need all the tricky bits. I've had mine about 7 years and still don't like to put the cover on it as then I can't gaze lovingly at it as it sits proud, pretty and tough in the shed. I don't ride her too much these days but when I do, those staineys sound oh so sweet and beg for more. I have at times thought to sell her for something more ergonomically friendly, but its probably not worth a great deal and I know I would regret it for the small amount of riding I do! (Bloody Surf addictions)
Anyway, good to see the tumble weeds haven't completely taken over and happy birthday to all the 20 somethings!

Mine is 14 years old and Like you I am 7 years into the journey. What a journey it has been. I am too embarrassed to list what I have done, and to think everything started with an Oil Change. Since I got the VTR quite a few bikes have been through the Cave but the VTR stayed. After 43 bikes I have found one with a kindred soul. I too like surfing here on the South Coast of NSW but sometimes the VTR takes preference. I am 62 now and reckon the VTR will always be here however as time advances I may get something more suitable.( I have left it to my Son In Law in my will under the proviso that if he changes it I will come back and haunt him) With the VTR still there when I am feeling good I can take it for a burn, it's a real motor bike . Get your VTR out of the shed a bit more mate and enjoy that sound and feel when you give it some. Cheers
