I don't want to offend anyone so let me start by saying that everything on here is going great guns and I love my OzFireStorm as much as the next bloke. BUT... Do you think we have a few too many topics on the home page? Perhaps we could save a bit of space by joining up a few topics like: - The 3 for sale topics could all go into one
- The Pics'nStuff topic could go... only got one thread in it
- The Polls could be merged into General Stuff
- Tech Stuff and Ask the Admin/Mods could be combined
- Links and Dazza's Link Bits could be merged
- Maybe anything else we think of while we are at it?
These are only suggestions and I stand at the ready awaiting firing from the mods

The For Sale bits can stay..gets too messy if they are combined me thinks. Ok Pics and Stuph...gone Polls is no longer..moved to General Stuph Tech Stuph and Ask the admin will remain..they are two totaly different topics. Dazza's Link bits are for the Movies and the Links section will remain for links to other sites/forums/online shops and the like. Anything else.....up for suggestions Andy

Agree with you whole heartedly there mate. Our fearless leader however has a love of topics. ;D My suggestion would be to combine. - Ask Admins/Mods with Suggestion Box NEW: Admin Questions and Suggestions
- Ask Mike with Tech Stuph NEW: Technical Questions
- Dazza's links with Jokes and Stuph. NEW: Jokes, Vids and Humour.
- Make the Sale secion just FOR SALE and WANTED
- Rename Ian's Stunt Stuph to Riding Techniques and Tricks.

Ok so here is my reason for starting this thread.
When a user navigates to a web page, they are often bamboozled with images and large amounts of content. If the first page that a user sees when they go to a site is simple and the information they are looking for is simply presented to them in a clean manner, then they are more likely to stay. Now in web development, when we say stay, we mean click at least once more on the site to retrieve specific information they are after.
So what i am saying i guess is that if nothing jumps out at a user staring them in the face saying "I bet what you are after will be in here somewhere" when they first log onto our home page, then they are likely to click back (usually to google search results) and select the next search result to see if that has what they are after. So if we have lots of topics on the front page, they are not likely to think "oh there might be something in here" and click through.
Just thinking of trying to attract more users and get them to stay a little while. Not questioning the site management skills of anyone or anything like that.

That may be true but this is a forum site and the set up is a bit limited from my understanding. At the moment we are trying to get a decent member base and we are doing that. When we finally move to a permanent site that is independant then we can refine and maybe have a more tradional "HOME PAGE". I have heard nothing but glowing reports from users of this and other sites. I think for noe it is more than serving it's purpose... Stew

Ok appart from the changes I've made today let's just wait and see what Proboards V4 has to offer then Stewart,Sean and myself will look at any new trick stuph and review the site. Meanwhile some things have been moved or removed and some catagorys changed as requested by Stu and Sean so best start hunting around to get used to the changes. Thanks for your input and patience. ...Just thinking of trying to attract more users and get them to stay a little while. Well just getting them here would be nice. If you do a search in Google for firestorm or vtr-1000 you won't find us. We need to get some meta data happening. Can you help us with this?
