reason why i put it here is cause i guess you guys know stuff about computers... anyways.. all of a sudden i can't access ANY site if my Norton Internet Security firewall is turned on. Even on the lowest settings it will not let sites be accessed.. but when i turn it off i can get sites... Why has this happened ? i don't touch my antivirus/security.. It is turned off now, just so i can write this.. Thanks for ya heap.

When it is on if you right click on the icon in the taskbar is there an option to stop all internet traffic? and is this checked?
I haven't used Norton before so I'm not sure of the settings...

You could try adding this site to your trusted sites zone. If you are using Internet Explorer, do these steps: - Click on Tools
- Select Internet Options
- Select the "Security" tab
- Click on the "Trusted Sites" icon (the one with the green circle and a tick in it
- Click the "Sites..." button
- Add " as a site (you may need to uncheck the "require server verification..." check box at the bottom to get this to work).
- Click save/ok and see if that helps
Reason being is that the firewall is trying to secure you by not letting you go to the internet. However, it may let you go to sites designated as "Trusted" though. If this doesn't work for ya, try looking for a similar setting somewhere in Nortons Firewall (not sure exactly what it would be called, but something along the lines of "Sites I am allowed to visit").
