Hey folks our picturetrail account has blown out again If any of you have pic's stored there and are willing to dump them......making sure thay are not linked of course it would be a great help. There are some massive file size pics hoging space up there so please check the size of what you upload to save some room. Your ozfirestorm account contains: 656 photos and uses 149.49 Mb storage.
Your current account level is: Premium Account with 2500 Pics or 150Mb Storage So as we can see there are some bloody huge files up Thanks Stormers OZFS Admin

I thought I would have a crack at this too, bearing in mind Seanus' instruction not to take up too much space and only add pictures of about 100k each. One pic was 2.9MB and another one was 4.8MB. Need to learn about my software it seems......

One pic was 2.9MB and another one was 4.8MB. When you downloaded the pics from your camera, did you open them and do a "save as"? This will help reduce them to approx the right size.

I have only just got the camera, and the software with it is quite complex, and will take me some time to learn it fully. It has all the editing functions under the sun, so no doubt I will be able to fix it eventually. Part of the problem might be that I have a 10 megapixel SLR, which produces high resolution images which take up a lot of space. So I will most probably have to reduce them back to poorer images before I can post them up. How ironic is that!!!!!

Shayne, option 1 is that most camera's allow you to dumb them up. Mine, while not a SLR, has an option to shoot email quality picks, no need to resize.
Option 2 is shoot big and resize, you should be able to just open your image with your edit program, normally there's a save a copy or save for web option, this allows you to condense the pic without farting around too much.
Hope it helps and you finally post a pic.

Thanks Saz. You are right I can shoot lower resolution pics, so if I was taking them only for this site then I could do that. The editing programs I have are fairly complex (instructions of more than 150 pages) so it is matter of me getting the time to go through them all.... I have been looking for shortcuts, but I will need to do it properly it seems. No important pics to put up yet anyway, I am just experimenting.

Hey Shayne! Use this program mate - it's free, really easy to use (just go to the resize option and choose what you want and save as resized pic). www.irfanview.com/ Cheers, Bass

I think Picturetrail is full again, unless I have done something wrong of course. I can't be responsible. I have 0 pictures loaded.
