If I get a chance tomorrow I'll organise a picture of mine, see if its the look youre after. Hey poomba I got some photos yesterday but my pc at home has picked up a virus thingy and I cant send emails with attachments at the moment, gonna fix it Saturday so if you pm your email address should be able to send you a few shots over the weekend. The rear flushmounts are just as visible as the front. You can see them from behind and one side, but obviously not the other side. You get to do a full fenderectomy and lose the old blinker mounts as well. Im assuming youve cut into your tailpiece to mount the rears...what happens if you do the full fenderectomy then get pinged for illegal indicators and are forced to go back to stalk type mounts..nowhere to put em!!! i guesss an option here would be to use a ventura rack kit, as my indicators are mounted to that... i never thought they did this, but hey?!

I never thought of that seeing as how I dont use the mounts on my ventura rails...thats the good thing about the mini indicators you can use the original mounts and they fit neatly under the rack rails

Spare parts places don't know it but you can get a higher wattage globe for the Commodore flushmounts from auto electricians. Only problem is that it is a curly one too high and hits inside the lens when fitted. Tried to upload photos of flushmounts fitted but don't know how to do it.

go to www.photobucket.comjoin up and upload your files there... (that part is pretty straight forward) then when you are making a reply, and want to post pics, start the reply, hit the insert image button, and between the [img) [/img) insert the 'image link displayed under the picture stored in photo bucket... you pics should pop up no probs

OK, here's my first attempt at loading images. and in the background the commodore he got the blinkers off. Don't worry the neighbour will never miss them.

No, actually in the background is my Soarer. the Commodore lives outside where they all belong! #happy# Not worried about the rear cowling cause they usually turn up on ebay if I decide to go back to original. Don't think I will get pinged for them though because they look so original. Alternatively I can weld mounts to the Ventura if i had to.

The only problem with the VT indicators is that the globes are only 5 watts. I have been looking for alternatives, but there aren't any that Ive found. The most promising alternatine so far is a 20w halogen desk lamp globe, but of course they are clear. Does anyone know of a heatproof coating to colour a globe amber? The globe connections are different too, but that is fixable. mate i think you can still buy a spray-on orange heat-proof paint for globes and lens covers from auto parts shops like repco or supershit. it doesn't last forever, but it shouldn't be a major drama to touch them up every now and then. ;D

Doesn't matter if the globes are clear. Just get the indicators from the 97 model VT which are already amber.

hey guys, i've just finished doin the whole vt clear indicators up front, and last night i finished with a set of BA falcon indicators on the rear, on the underside of the rear fairing, looks awesome, really smartens up the bike.
Although i did need to cut a whole in either side of the brake lights in the fairing, it's worth the effort. together with a pretty sever fenderectomy (left the mount points for original indicators incase i need to use ventura rack in the future) it really neatens up the rear of the bike, accents the sleek lines so to speak. anyone that is pondering whether to do such a mod, i highly recommend it. from go to whoa it only takes about an hour and a bit, including soldering new globe holders on, and looks the goods. ;D
