I would like to have the option to be alerted by email when someone posts in a thread I have created. Esp, Parts Wanted, For Sale, Tech advice etc. It is time we had this feature. Other forums have it.

There is an option in our "Messages" area, just click the preferences tab. There are 2 options there. When ticked the first "Notification" sends a message to your email when you receive a PM. It is a shame that this is not selected by default when you join. This way if your email address is hidden you can still be contacted via a PM. Is anyone else using this feature?

As long as you are happy with what you have found that's all that matters. Proboards will be releasing PBV5 end of the year or early next year...lets see what they have in the new version meanwhile I have emailed them with regards your question. Andy

BTW I have tested the email alert with a hidden email setting and I successfully received the email.

Try this.........1. Have your member click "bookmark" on their thread. Then they can go to their profile and click "Manage Bookmarks". There will be an option to receive email notice.
