Mine didn't come with any. The instructions I got said to remove the old gaskets and use them....but they also said its easy to screw them trying to get them out and so you may need to buy new ones ;D ;D
I got one out ok and trashed the other....I think Yella has no gaskets on his...right Yella?

if it don't sound different with out the gaskets my nieghbours are in for a rude shock when i come in late! i managed to get one out ok but screwed the other. 1 side is tight and not leaking but the left side leeks like a seive? it is loud and has quite a bark to it. a mate at work has the high mounts and his are not as vocal as mine with out the gasket. i am picking up 2 gaskets tomorrow and will fit them up and let y'all know. (pics as well).

Supposed to reuse the existing ones inside the old pipes or buy new ones.......but if it ain't leakin' then who cares ;D ;D

I have never noticed it leaking.
Can i confirm that we are talking about the same thing? You guys are saying there are some gaskets, tubular of sorts, that sit between the StainTune pipe and the arse end of the header pipe at that little Y join where they slip on?
Or do you guys have the header pipes as well and there are flat gaskets between there and the header outlet on the manifold?

My pipes joined on at the Y on the underside of the bike near the chain, right near the pegs. There was a greyish squashy (technical ) cylinder maybe 2 cm wide and the diameter of the pipe. The one i stretched was about 5cm by the time I had finished.

Thought that is what you were talking about. Definately no "gaskets" there on mine (will race home and check though ).

i have a gasket connecting each of my pipes to the Y junction, and yeh they damage easily. They are pretty much just made up of steel wool stuff and some sort of material coating (after ripping one to shreds taking the pipe off once). They are pretty expensive to replace, do you fellas think that if you've been using the gaskets on staintune pipes (i got highmounts), could you stop using them and instead just buy some of that stop exhaust join leak silicone stuff that they sell at k-mart?
