Hi guys, New to the forum and currently part way through my 98 VTR Build... It has been Something I have had a few years to think about so when I found one at the right price it was all Systems Go! I started with a fairly rough but very cheap '98 Storm with the intentions of building something a little different. It has had a full 959 front end conversion complete with me learning how to polish lips on a rim (never again!). Next on the list which is currently nearly completed was a '04-'07 CBR1000RR Tail conversion. This required quite a lot of fab work which is nearly done. The final stage of my project is fitting a T25 turbo using a blow through carb setup, once all that fab work is complete it will be completely stripped, frame powder coated black and the rest of the fairings will be re painted in the same candy yellow as the new ductail. Hope you enjoy the photos! I do have a heap of oringinal parts left over too if anyone is in need...

Haha! Nice bike there mate! Sorry I always wanted to do one since a had my cbr1000rr nearly 8 years ago!
Was there much work in adapting the original blade sub frame? I have made my own whichome after all the effort I have decided is too heavy. So I'm gonna ride it around while I build a lighter one.

Got to ride her today! Stoked! Needs a few little things sorted but really happy just to be riding it again! Just have to collect a few more bits and pieces to start the turbo mission.

I like the CBR tail, and also the Tuono tail.
There is a guy on the American forum that has the Tuono tail and it looks the goods!
The guy has a really nice bike and the thread is called Dutch Streetfighter.
Either way they both look the goods!
Can't wait to see your Turbo build, I have seen a few turboed bikes on other sights.
Maybe you will need to upgrade the brakes as well.

What turbos are they using and what sort of figures are they getting out of them once done?

Cheers I'll have look! I love the R6 tail too but I wanted to keep it all Honda.
Will be using a garrett t 25 (was donated to the cause) a bosch 070 pump, Mallory 4309 fuel pressure reg in a blow through setup with the standard carbs. I'm going to be running about 7psi and I'm guessing she will make upwards of about 150-170bhp. Only time will tell.
I was told today that it couldn't be done and it wouldn't last and I was wasting my time. I'm just one of those people who can't be told though.
I think getting it run won't be too bad from my research. Getting it to run well will be the tricky/time consuming thing.

In Rapid Bikes a couple of years ago there was a guy who Fitted a turbo to his TRX 850.
He didn't seem to have problems.
I will try and find the article for you!

I always heard that the standard storm crank was only good for 130-140hp but I read an article on that purple supercharged storm from years ago and the guy reckoned he was getting 190hp with stock internals.

No progress at the moment. Finishing the house off has taken priority. Finally got myself a dirt bike again, so now I have something else to ride I will get a bit more serious with it.
Would love to have a read of that article...
