Trutest Mini Bike with Briggs and Stratton 3.5hp Stationery engine, found in a shed with stripped clutch and no pull start, so welded clutch and made to push start lol very interesting to start and stop lol.
1976 Honda C50 in a tea chest Totally stripped down as previous owner broke first gear and because of that no kickstart operation. Rebuilt it and ran well for what it was. owned it a week after finishing it and sold it back to previous owner.
1980 Suzuki FZ50 Scooter, Got my NZ Restricted License on that lol aged 18. rode it a few times in the 2 months I owned it. Back then you were restricted to max 250cc for 12 months then automatically became open license. Good Old Days lol
2 year gap then
1980 Kawasaki Z650 Ex Production Racer, then was majorly tweaked for other racing (Huge Cams. Carbs, Lightened and balanced and Forged pistons and huge list more) (Street Legal and was berserk) Would pull 19000rpm and fry rear tyres pulling away from lights if you lent forward enough to prevent wheel stand and careful on the throttle rather than just open the tap fully, or pull front wheel up otherwise. Owned and rode it for 8 years as daily transport and loved it as I could take on near anything with it. Still probably my favourite bike I have owned. It wasn't user friendly and unless you knew it, you could get onto a heap of trouble. I did over 110,000kms on it in the time I owned it, With 1 rebuild.
Then no bike for a few years.
1981 Honda CX500, worst bike ever, was a pile of junk from day 1, would get death wobbles at 105km to 110km and everything was checked and double checked for bends, wear and never cured it. Owned it 6 months and got rid of it.
Then moved to Gold Coast from NZ about 14 years ago and got my first bike here.
1982 Kawasaki Z500 used as a commuter from Gold Coast to Bowen Hills Brisbane for 2 years, Then weekend get away for a couple or years when I started work on Gold Coast. Was a good reliable economical ride, no thrills but a good bike.
Then 10 Year Break until now.
2003 VTR100F swapped it for Falcon ute I had about 4 weeks ago. It's not perfect, as it was badly maintained and previous owner didn't have a clue. But it is getting better almost daily and since carb Sync and some other maintenance totally different bike, I love it and this will most likely be another bike I keep for a long while.
Not a huge History considering I am 51.
Rode may other bikes in between them all but not my own so not listing them here lol
